Merenre
Merenre Nemtyemsaf I (reigned 2283-2278 BC) was the third king of the Sixth
dynasty of Egypt.
Merenre followed his father's (Pepi I) example by building his pyramid at South Saqqara. His pyramid, as well as other Sixth dynasty pyramids in that area, has been extensively studied for the so-called Pyramid Texts inscribed on its walls.
